We are pleased to announce that, through January 31, 2013, we will be donating 10% of all profits to the Melanoma Research Foundation. In addition, we provided a gift certificate for auction at their Inaugural Celebrity Golf Classic, hosted by Kevin Nealon. Having had a personal connection to this cancer, we are fired up about this one! Join us? Do some holiday shopping and give to a worth cause at the same time.
During the months of June and July, 2012, a portion of our profits will be donated to Community Animal Rescue Effort in Evanston, IL. Heidi Danos, owner of Dirty Knees Soap Co., adopted a terrific Great Dane, Collie, Dachshund mix from C.A.R.E. – seriously. (Out of sheer curiosity, she did a DNA test!)
C.A.R.E. is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of domestic pets through public education and active involvement with unwanted and abandoned animals brought to the shelter. Since its inception in 1987, C.A.R.E. has been responsible for the adoption of thousands of dogs and cats that would have otherwise been euthanized. Over 100 volunteers assume responsibility for the care of the animals at the shelter.
